Mission Statement

"to provide and promote culturally based, inclusive programs, supports and activities to enhance holistic well-being and pride in Urban Aboriginal Peoples"

The Métis Commission for Children and Families of BC

The Métis Commission for Children and Families of BC (MCCFBC) is identified within provincial legislation as being the designated representative for Métis children, youth, and families within the child welfare system throughout British Columbia.

This means that the MCCFBC sees every Métis child in the BC child welfare system through the court order process, ensuring that the child receives the support and services they need in a culturally safe and relevant manner.

Métis Nation British Columbia

Métis Nation British Columbia (MNBC) represents nearly 90,000 self-identified Métis people in BC. To date, 20,000 Métis Citizens are provincially registered with MNBC. The Métis National Council and the Provincial Government of British Columbia, as well as the Federal Government of Canada, recognize Métis Nation British Columbia as the Governing Nation for Métis in BC.

Secwépemc Child and Family Services Agency

Secwépemc Child and Family Services Agency (SCFSA) is responsible for the delivery of effective and efficient services that protect the rights of children, ensure their safety, and maintain their connection to family, culture and community.

Interior Community Services

Interior Community Services (ICS) is a non-profit accredited multi service agency providing supported programming to people of all ages. For over 45 years, ICS has been dedicated to meeting the community needs in Kamloops and the Interior region. Our annual budget is 12.8 million dollars.
